Ave Maria University's Swing Dance Club is a lively gathering of students passionate about the art and joy of swing dancing. Inspired by the rhythms of jazz and the elegance of vintage dance styles, members come together to learn, practice, and perform various swing dance moves and routines. The club offers lessons, social dances, and themed events, creating a welcoming atmosphere for dancers of all levels. Through the shared love of music and movement, members forge friendships and create lasting memories. Ave Maria's Swing Dance Club embodies the spirit of rhythm, creativity, and community, bringing the timeless joy of swing dancing to campus life.
Our biggest event is our Swing competition and dance. During the Spring Semester we put on a free dance where people can come enjoy themselves while also participate in, or watch, two dance competitions for the chance to win prizes.
We simply require that you are on the mail list. Swing Club is a casual club where people can come drop in and dance as many times or as little as they would like.
